Hurricane France’s forward movement has slowed to 8 miles per hour and now it’s just a mater of waiting for it to get here. It is expected to reach my area by 8:00 on Sunday morning.  The slower it moves the more rain is expected. There are predictions of 10 to 20 inches of rain.

The Projections at 11:00 this morning had projected that the center of the hurricane would pass over my home in Central Florida. Now the projection is shifting more to the west and the hurricane is weakening. It still places us on the Eastern side of the storm where the majority of tornados and rain will be.

I am still hoping for Northern turn before it comes ashore but all bets are off. With the forward progress slowing, I am not sure at this point that the meteorologists can predict with any certainty where this storm is going.

Melbourne radar is starting to show the outer rainbands coming ashore in South Florida.
