The Battle For Falluja - Observations from an Iraqi

Sam, who writes from Iraq in a blog called Hammorabi, his article,  Alert; Falluja!, makes an observation about the situation in Iraq.

“It is very interesting that last year when Falluja was surrounded the car bombs and suicidal attacks stopped and the same thing happening now!

Not surprising, Kofi Anan is not happy about the liberation of Falluja from the hands of the terrorists!”

It’s interesting how the “leader” of the United Nations oppose the liberation of Falluja. What does that tell you? It’s no wonder the UN passed twelve resolutions on Iraq. If the United States had not acted there would probably be twelve more resolutions without action.

It sounds like it’s going to be a win win situation for Iraq if the United States Marines are allowed to truly liberates the city. I can’t imagine what it must be like to face suicidal car bombers on a daily basis. I hope that Sam is correct and the action in Falluja is going to stop the occurrences of terror in the error.

Most of the civilians have left the city and it is in the hands of the terrorists. Ten thousand United States Marines have the bad guys surrounded. This time I hope we don’t negotiate with that Iranian sponsored Cleric, Muqtada al-Sadar, and just get the job done. I wrote about Falluja in August and at that time the local population wanted the Marines to “rubble” the city. I can’t believe the situation there has been allowed to continue for as long as it has.

Finally, the political battle our Commander In Chief engaged in is over and he can take the gloves off. I still wonder how many lives have been lost because of the Democrats opposition to our effort in Iraq.

Pray for our Marines - they are in a tough battle that must be won.
