Labor Day, The Aftermath

The wind is still roaring outside as we wake up on Monday morning. I wonder if this hurricane is ever going to leave.

We have Breakfast on the grill including coffee with a bit of a smoky taste. Spent the day waiting for power to be restored. The winds subside around 2:00 PM. We are under a tornado watch until 8:00pm.

We were worried about out trees, we have a lot of them.

Before Frances

.After Frances

As you can see from the before and after pictures hurricane winds produce a ton of debris, all over everything. We didn’t loose a single tree but the tree movement broke the water pipe leading to the house so water pressure is very low.  We are fortunate that this is the only thing we have to fix. Power was restored at 5:50 PM so we are almost back to normal

All in all, we survived a historical storm that will not be soon forgotten. I praise God for keeping us safe.
