Iraq - Let’s Get It Done

We have a lot of bad guys holed up in Najaf and Falluja. It’s time to let the Marines do their job and get it done once and for all.

When Muqtada al-Sadar and his terrorist thugs get cornered, they want to negotiate. Once they have enough men fired up for another offensive, its back to attacks against our troops and kidnapping of foreigners. This had become an established pattern from al-Sadar, this alleged “holy man.”

If thugs and hoodlums were holy then I guess that this guy would be a “holy man.” To me he is just another agent of the Axis of evil and should be dealt a swift and deadly blow.

Americans are trying to be respectful of ancient shrines and landmarks but the terrorists use this against us and hide within the walls. It should be standard policy that if you hide in a shrine the shrine becomes a military target and is reduced to rubble. It’s time to start leveling the areas that these bad guys hole up in and let Iraq get on with the building of their country.

A recent letter from a Marine in Falluja says the Iraqis have lost their patience and are ready for the Marines to “rubble it.”

I say, let’s get it done.

Hurricane Charley - We Dodged The Bullet This Time

The eye of Hurricane Charley passed by 35 miles away on Friday. Initially the eye of the hurricane was going to pass over my neighborhood but the steering currents diverted Charley further east and we were spared. Praise God!

Unfortunately for some of my colleagues living in the Orlando area they were hit directly with 100 mph winds and gusts even higher. Areas of Orlando are still without power, traffic lights are out at major intersections, some phones are out, a lot of trees were blown over and debris are scattered everywhere. Roof damage and structural damage was common for a lot of homes and businesses. The office building I work at is intact but every tree is either lying down or leaning over.

Monday morning commute is going to be dangerous because some people don’t know that a traffic light that is out should be treated as a 4 way stop. Already there has been a lot of close calls with people blowing through intersections at full speed.

This is the first major hurricane to hit Orlando directly in 40 years.  I hope that’s it for this season - looks like 15 billion dollars of damage state wide and the hurricane season just really started. It could be a rough one.

I Was Fascinated By This Image But Not In A Good Way

This AP photo struck me. The image looks much like the posters from the former Soviet Union and is just creepy.

Thank goodness the Democratic love fest is over. I don’t believe his acceptance speech. Actions speak louder that words and John Kerry’s voting record in the senate is in direct opposition to his acceptance speech. Do the Democrats think Americans are so stupid as to buy in to their carefully scripted deception. I think they do.

Fasten your seatbelts everyone. The ride is about to get bumpy from here to November.
